Care & Safety

TLC is the word.

Our ropes are built tough and built to last, but that said, please remember that all ropes wear out over time, and you will eventually need to replace your ropes. After all, if you've used them right, you'll have repeatedly struck the ground with them thousands of times. Like all things though, a little care goes a long way.

To extend the life span of :

Our Ropes

Consider volume of indoor VS outdoor use: outdoor use is fine (but gravel and concrete are two completely different things), but consistent indoor use will mean they last alot longer on smooth, soft surfaces like tile, cement, turf, rubber or otherwise.

OR

Our ropes are not intended for use on hard flooring and especially rough surfaces like tarmac, gravel, stones. To maximise the life and performance of your rope, we recommend training on smooth rubber matting or gym flooring.

Other things to note :

  • Frequency : goes without saying. More beasting = more wear
  • Temperature: prolonged use or storage in very cold temperatures or extreme heat can impact rope life, nice and neutral is key!
  • Rope thickness: heavier ropes have a thicker coating and last longer (but might be alil rougher on the surface you're using them on, be careful of porcelain tiles especially!)
  • Storage : Hang ropes on door frame or a similarly wide pole when not in use alternatively you can use the velcro we provide to coil it nicely. This avoids any long term kinks or coiling.
  • Sizing : Avoid using a longer than necessary rope length - this will damage the rope.
  • Cleaning : Wiping the ropes down with a dry/mildly damp, clean cloth will help preserve colour and overall lifespan.

Our Handles

Bearings : Keeping everything dry and well oiled with some good old WD40 from time to time will work wonders. But these should keep spinning for the ages, so long as you don't drop em. Impact is a bearing's kryptonite.

Shafts : Our blackening process will fade and discolour with use, but we think the aging adds character! Again wiping these down regularly with a dry/mildly damp cloth after use will preserve the aesthetics.

Storage : Likewise with the ropes, in a cool dry place away from excess sun or moisture will increase longevity

Don't be Idiotic!

To avoid danger, always keep packaging and ropes away from babies and children.

Remember that our ropes are fitness equipment and not toys, and should be treated as such.

Wild or hazardous usage can lead to serious injury or even death, always use under supervision of an adult.

If any part of the rope connector or steel core has been damaged or exposed, halt all usage and obtain a replacement immediately.
